Purchased in the summer of 2011 from a farmer in Northern Vermont, our 1983 Skamper has proved to be one of my favorite projects/hobbies. After some elbow grease and a fresh layer of paint, we took our Skamper on a 10,000 mile cross country journey from Vermont to Wyoming to Florida to Maine, and finally back to Vermont. The motor is cranked back up and the navigational lights are still not on. The drunk sitting on the bow of the boat would be rocketed off the front if they do indeed hit a rock.
