Pilgrim with a Passport: November 2014

http://www.pilgrimwithapassport.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Pilgrim with a Passport. A blog about my time spent living, travelling and working abroad. Sunday, 30 November 2014. Rishikesh - City of Yoga. Leaving Haridwar, we passed the giant Shiva statue that guards the city. An almost-vanished river near Rishikesh. Arriving in the city. We were pretty hungry, so our first mission was finding some food. We settled for these vegeburgers. Rishikesh is a strictly vegetarian city, and not a single restaurant serves meat. Our hotel was located in a beautiful valley.

Pilgrim with a Passport. A blog about my time spent living, travelling and working abroad. Wednesday, 30 July 2014. A Proposal in Penang. What would happen once our travels were finished? Were we going to live in the US or the UK, or some place else? What sort of careers did we want to have for the rest of our lives? We were anxious to figure out what our goals were, and how to fulfil them, and consequently it was a very tense time in Phnom Penh, even if I never mentioned it in the blog. So, we made it t...

Pilgrim with a Passport. A blog about my time spent living, travelling and working abroad. Thursday, 16 January 2014. My Dad's Visit to Korea. I was so happy to have Dad come and visit me after spending so long not seeing any friends or family from back home. Here are some photos we took over the weekend:. The next day we took the metro to the area around City Hall and Jongno. We took a brief walk down the Cheonggyecheon, a 5-mile long stream that runs through the north of the city. During his visit, we ...

Pilgrim with a Passport. A blog about my time spent living, travelling and working abroad. Sunday, 27 April 2014. Journey to the Thai Islands. We only stayed in Phuket for a couple of nights, as the island itself did not seem especially beautiful to us (the real stunning scenery would come later in Phi Phi and Krabi). However, it was a pleasant, relatively quiet place to unwind after our long journey across the country. Our route south from Chiang Mai to Phuket. At the cinema there. Crossing the short st...

Pilgrim with a Passport. A blog about my time spent living, travelling and working abroad. Wednesday, 28 May 2014. An Egg Mud Bath in Nha Trang. Our bus route from Dalat to Nha Trang. The morning we left from Dalat, it was raining as we weaved between the mountains. As we went down into the lowlands, we escaped the overcast weather. And by the time we arrived in Nha Trang it was sunny and warm again. We took a taxi to our hotel, driving down a palm tree-lined beachfront that reminded us of Miami. After t...

The Pilgrim Whisperer - Blog

If a footpath to the moon existed, would you be on it? My niece peers through my telescope at the moon still faintly visible in the early dawn sky. Would you pick up your pilgrim stick and backpack and set off on ‘The Way’? I would - I definitely would! How wonderful to be on the moon looking back at the earth. Think of the perspective. When I look through my telescope at night into the vast expanse, I marvel. I am in complete awe of our galaxy. What’s not to marvel at? There is a difference between bein...

Pilgrim Wonderings | Wrestling With Reality…

Wrestling With Reality…. Thoughts of a Free Baha’i. May 14, 2012. After Baha’u’llah passed away – his son, ‘Abdu’l-Baha assumed the role of being the exemplar and teacher of the principles that Baha’u’llah had revealed.
