If at all possible, use a rotary cutter and cutting mat (36x24 is good) The Chenille fabric is exceptionally slippery and using a scissor is not the best option. The fabric is best cut when lying flat! DO NOT IRON THE SOFT FABRIC-only the woven or border fabric can be pressed- the soft fabric is Polyester and will melt if ironed! Pillow Fight 4 Cancer Community Day. Inmates at Eastern Correctional Facility. Libby and Friends with A Load of Pillowcases! In March, my high school hosted a Pillow Fight 4 Cancer Community Day. At which we made about 50 pillowcases. Everyone loved being there and they want to do it again, as soon as we can. It was a very rewarding day. This Photo is from that event! In June, we are going to have a tent at our Relay for Life and we will sell pillowcases as a fundraiser to make more!

Saturday, February 28, 2009. I become engrossed by the quilt that I'm working on. It's amazing the back and forth relationship that one has with fabric, an "inatimate" object. Fabric is inatimate until you work with it to create! Each fabric and quilt have a personality. This quilt pieced like a dream, but fought me tooth and nail on the quilting.
