Lesson #17: Awesome circuits. January 24, 2016. January 24, 2016. I’d given myself a good talking to after last week’s disaster and put a lot of effort into getting in the right mindset for a good bit of flying today. Things I was determined to get right that I didn’t last time. Being calm and relaxed. Climbing out in the right direction. Countering the drift effect on the crosswind and base legs. Setting up for landing plenty in advance. The landing being nice and central. Getting to practice Go Arounds.

Ways in which flying is making me a strange person | elizabethinthesky

Ways in which flying is making me a strange person. March 7, 2016. April 11, 2016. I am silently disappointed in customer service people on the phone when they make up a fake phonetic alphabet. My postcode does not begin “Cat Victor”. Likewise, when it’s my turn I have to force myself to talk at a normal speed when spelling out words phonetically because I’ll look like a pretentious idiot if I rattle it off. My bins blow over when empty and the wind is over 25 knots. When my car struggled to start recent...

We made it to France!! | elizabethinthesky
https://elizabethinthesky.wordpress.com/2016/02/18/we-made-it-to-france
We made it to France! February 18, 2016. February 20, 2016. One of the earliest flying plans Adam and I ever made – almost a year ago now – was to fly to France. We made it all the way to the paperwork submitting stage on several occasions but it was never to be. We had today as a potential day to go and it finally happened! A rather beautiful start to the day at Wellesbourne! And we were off. Beautiful! I didn’t realise how close the Isle of Wight is to the coast. Barely separated! Locating the airport ...

As a teacher, I enjoying explaining things to others and flying is no exception to this. There are therefore sections written for my friends who kindly (foolishly! Expressed interest in what I’m doing and how it works. It’s shoddy knowledge-in-progress so corrections from actual real pilots is much appreciated! People who I mention regularly:. Paul One of my instructors. A very kind and patient man who appears to have been flying for a really long time. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

The Pilot ACE Emulator
The Pilot ACE Emulator. Last updated: 8 August 2011: David Green. This emulator is an attempt to provide an historically correct 'virtual' Pilot ACE computer. So far as possible, I have made it a valid representation of the Pilot ACE. The current version of the emulator can be downloaded as EP20110808.ZIP. The Pilot ACE was a complicated computer, so these operating instructions are unavoidably lengthy. If you just want to see the Pilot ACE working, check Getting Started. 51 10 May 1950. 641 Card Punch I...
