Sydney Capri is now 8 years old! How is that possible? My first born baby is amazing. She is brilliant, sassy, and loves to read. She woke me up on her birthday asking me, “Where’s the first Harry Potter book? 8221; (I’ve told her since she was small that she can’t read the books until she turns 8.). This year she has suddenly turned shy when she’s around anyone but immediate family. She also developed this highly over exaggerated (and loud! Laugh that she swears is her real laugh. She loves to swim!

June 29, 2015. This sweet babe is 5 months old, can you believe it? She weighs 13lbs 6oz, but she is SO chunky! I didn’t know it was possible to have wrist and ankle rolls! I’m so in love with it. She is super smiley and gives great smiles to everyone who talks to her. She is now rolling over like a champ! Still eating 6oz bottles. Sleeps through the night. She pinches and pulls hair. But she also gives slobbery kisses, so we go with it. She gets super giggly, especially when it comes to her brother.

When You Think You’re Failing. Since I’ve spent this entire school year pregnant, and then with a newborn it’s had it’s challenges. Especially since this is Audrey’s first year doing school with us. And unfortunately she’s gotten the short end of the stick. Preschool hasn’t gotten done. And not because she isn’t cooperative. Unfortunately it’s just the opposite, she’s been begging to do school. The cute assignments have gotten done. Eventually. Reading took a back burner and we just worked on flash cards.

Yesterday marked the first day of our 5th year of homeschooling. And this year is Audrey’s first day of Kindergarten. Every single year I wonder how I got here, how is it that my kids are even old enough to be in school? But here we are, and here is the list of curriculum that we will be using this year! Sydney is in the THIRD GRADE. Like Whoa. Science: Sonlight Science D (Biology, Taxonomy and Human Anatomy). English: Writing With Ease Level 3, First Language Lessons Level 3, All About Spelling Level 3.

We’ve survived our first month as a family of seven! Ah, Mr. Quincey…. He’s 8lbs 13oz and 21 inches long! He wears size newborn clothes and newborn diapers. Exclusively breastfed.
