Tuesday, 25 March 2014. My poor neglected blog. it really is a side-line though as my main two blogs are Pinch River. This blog is for art projects that are separate to the business and I guess this artwork falls in that category. I'm playing around with some art - for a particular reason and will be back to share the results in a little while. This is when I'm in my element - creating, playing around with ideas, experimenting. it feels so good and I totally lose myself in the process.

Friday, 24 October 2014. The best things in life a free! This gem was found outside a house as its owner was disposing of it and I was the lucky recipient. Even though I had my eye on something like this. I love my shiny red bike! I have already been on a few rides around Canberra, exploring the area and this morning I rode from my place down (and around) Lake Tuggeranong. I feel so incredibly lucky to live so close to the lake. I've uploaded the photos I took on my ride to flickr. Links to this post.

Sunday, 28 September 2014. Pinch River at pod - part 2. Today is my last day at pod. It's been a great experience seeing my products in this context. I always knew they worked well together and having them all in a space like this reinforces that. It also enabled me to see I have quite a broad product and price range which caters to a wider range of customers, both those looking for small gift-ware items to those looking for interior products for their homes. I love this room, the view out the front is very lovely, despite seeing the house across the road I focus more on the mountain range in the distance behind it. and all the greenery. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Today I explored the Googong Dam. With a friend. The outing came about because I wanted to go to Spotlight to buy some interfacing for a new product range for Pinch River. And as we'd wanted to go for a bike ride today I looked up cycle trails around Queanbeyan (my nearest Spotlight store). Tuesday, June 18, 2013. I took my camera out on a walk this morning as I've been seeing these amazing winter wattles in flower everywhere and just had to capture some of the magic! Isn't it just spectacular! It's the Acacia Podalyriifolia or the Queensland Silver Wattle: a perennial, fast-growing tree which is widely cultivated. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Feathered friends - Magpies and King Parrots. Photographed in my garden. the Magpies are a permanent fixture and I love hearing their beautiful song throughout the day. and I love how cheeky they are.
