Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Pinehurst is hustling and bustling in preparation for the Men's and Women's Golf US Open. Here's a sneak peek of what you'll see next week. Today the Pinehurst Clubhouse has been taken over by the USGA. The Carolina's original water tower is getting painted. What a brave man up there! The greens are closing down. Scaffolding is going up. Temporary buildings are being put up. Pinehurst's beautiful walkways will lead you to the event at the clubhouse. The Merrimac before renovation.

The kitchen and bathroom have been gutted. She's starting to be put back together and she's on her way to seeing better days. The bathroom is being framed and insulated.
