First off I want to say congratulations to all those that participated in MMM’14. I am in awe of all those that gave that challenge a try, your outfits were wonderful and creative. Check out their group here! The bonus is the proceeds go to our local APA (Animal Protection Association) that sponsors a No-Kill Shelter. A cash donation went into the pot as well.

Cardigan Girl Knits: January 2014
http://cardigangirlknits.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Knitting and life in general. Monday, 27 January 2014. The happy sweater is done! Pashmina is a dream to work with and to wear so my girl is happy, happy, happy. She is also very happy to get a knitted sweater with a wider neck, but not a boat neck. I have used a pattern called pistacie. I hope she will use it a lot the coming spring (I really hope spring is coming although it doesn't feel like it today, snow and wind and all wintery outside). Friday, 17 January 2014. Cardigan Girl Knits: Spring is in the air
http://cardigangirlknits.blogspot.com/2014/05/spring-is-in-air.html
Knitting and life in general. Monday, 12 May 2014. Spring is in the air. Finally, I've got something to show. and what a little gem I must say. Isn't it funny how the smallest, simplest of things can be the most beautiful? Shawl is a small triangular shawl, super easy and no fuz, but still extremely wearable and nice. Its a free pattern and I've used danish BC Allino yarn. In cotton and linen. The very green colour goes just perfect with my dark blue jacket and it will be a favourite this spring. Isager ...

Cardigan Girl Knits: May 2014
http://cardigangirlknits.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Knitting and life in general. Saturday, 24 May 2014. I'm not much of a poncho girl, they always seem to add 4 punds extra around my bum, but this one I love. It took me 2 nights to knit and I've already used it both in an outdoor party and for city shopping :-) Love it. Pattern: Drops first date. Mods: stockinette stitch, crocheted the neck line to make it sturdier, removed a button and that's about it. Labels: hexa drops poncho. Monday, 12 May 2014. Sewing Projects of a Frustrated Sewing Enthusiast. Glad to be back! June 18, 2014. It has been a long two weeks and my life has been a little crazy. I am so glad to be able to settle down and write a post today. My first news is that I am GUEST HOSTING! I am excited. You may or may not remember ( yeah, 18 days ago ) that I had decided to pull out all of my booklets that said you could create a perfect pattern using their instructions and your measurements. Ready to see how things came out? Thank you for ...

Ashley Kat, about that...: Moment of clarity.
http://ashleykataboutthat.blogspot.com/2013/09/moment-of-clarity.html
Ashley Kat, about that. Trying to bring order to a life living in chaos. Friday, September 20, 2013. After years of my mother telling me my "friends" in my world of partying wouldn't last it finally clicked. She didn't warn me that it would be like a light bulb going off, no one told me it would happen faster than over night. With the people of drama, lies, and being self-centered as a thing of the past I can focus on the important things and people in my life. September 24, 2013 at 11:42 PM. Ethereal th...

Finished: Summery 1940s Slacks - Simplicity 3688 | Renée And The Cat's Meow
http://reneeandthecatsmeow.blogspot.com/2014/06/finished-summery-1940s-slacks.html
Finished: Summery 1940s Slacks - Simplicity 3688. Oh, how long I have been wanting to sew a pair of high waisted trousers! I had the very famous repro Simplicity 3688. Lying around for almost a year now, but for some reason I was too scared to sew them up. Pants always seem to be prone to fitting issues and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to fix them if they did come up. Or maybe not a long torso but at least a lower than usual waistline. I can't believe I never noticed that before. 1940s patterns f...
