Children for a Green New Nepal have their work cut out when...

I explained once again that this stupid idiot was riding unlit, in dark clothing, the wrong way down a one way street, more or less in the middle of the road, saw me from a distance and still. Hit me. And now you want me to take him to hospital and pay for treatment? Handlebars and drifted towards Bir. Charged. Then back inside I was a...

So this is the attempt to add a little caffeine boost to the wider public in Kathmandu and beyond. This has not been proven yet as it took around 8 months from placing the order to getting them to Kathmandu. In the coming months, some good Nepali coffee should make its way up to Langtang. The home of half-thought-out commentary, half-baked ideas from Kathmandu, Nepal. Saturday, January 09, 2010. Transparency and technology and Nepal. But then if the subject of politicians is raised in conversation, reactions range from frustration to rage. Their reputation among the public (that I speak to) is poor. There is a little praise reserved for a couple of young hopes: Gagan Thapa is one who is often mentioned. Nawaraj Silwal, Siddhartha Rana, Ashmi Rana, Ashutosh Tiwari, Santosh Shah. One of the...

The Halfhog: May 2009

The home of half-thought-out commentary, half-baked ideas from Kathmandu, Nepal. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Its around 6.30 in the morning perched on the black rocks of Kala Patthar. Its a prayer-flag-wrapped point of rock with truly stunning views. The dull and serious black triangle of Everest to the east, Pumo-ri to the north so close you could lean on it (you'd need thick gloves though, its icy) and numerous other peaks of rock and snow scattered in every direction. Can you take a picture of me, Pemba?
