I’m from Sunday best to pine rosin in my hair and covered head to toe in Carolina Clay dust. I’m from vegetable gardens and horse pastures. Jack, the main character, started out hating poetry and refused to do it because it was a “girl thing”. I love how both his writing ability and his opinion about poetry progressed.
