Sunday, 17 July 2011. July 7th 2011 - journey to Tel Aviv. Netanyahu had whipped up a media storm calling us hooligans and provocateurs. The man is mad of course. The media went berserk labelling us the 'flightilla'. Disinformation piled onto disinformation and before long we were rabid demonstrators representing an existential threat to Israel itself. Truth gets a bad press these days. Fortunately our local rag - the SW Argus. Was inclined to print our own story. Labels: To Tel Aviv. So you have found me.

Sunday, 17 July 2011. 10th July - and still in prison. Breakfast for 6 was 2 yoghurt pots and 6 green peppers. We have some stale bread from 2 days ago and some jam. Water is drunk luke warm from the tap. Some of us have been allowed some exercise outside and some have seen the lawyer, a volunteer Palestinian who asks for no money. The prison guards bark at him most roughly, but he has a tolerant attitude. Not much came out of the meeting except he did say we must sign nothing. So you have found me.

Sunday, 17 July 2011. July 9th - Givon Jail. My tour of Israel starts at Ben Gurion Airport and ends at Givon jail. The introduction to my 'hotel' is simply the razor wire glimpsed throught the tiny wire mesh window of the tin can which until now has been my temporary prison. Sunday, 17 July 2011. 13th July - and yes, still in prison. Thoughts, I am troubled with thoughts. The British Consul said that Israel was a Sovereign State, and as such could remove any people from its land at any time. Yet Israel has no fixed borders, so how can it be a sovereign state? Indeed the border at Bi'lin was moved a mere two weeks ago. I asked what the British Government's position was on this, there came no answer. I will ask again. We could be of no help to the Palestinians where we were.

Suddenly Anne-Marie from Belgium is asked to get her stuff and she is going - probably because there are demonstrations on the streets of Brussels asking for her release. 3 others from Geneva go with her. Does Israel run the British Embassy? The South Wales Argus has valiantly stuck to the story. Leader of the Green Party. So you have found me.
