Kudos to the teachers at John Dewey who came forward. If Farina and DeBlasio really care about education they need to establish some way of looking into this at all schools and see how kids who never passed are suddenly passing and graduating. They need to follow these students into the community college and see how little they actually know. I Miss My Dad.

It used to be summer classes were provided to help students re mediate and then pass subjects they failed during the school year. Summer school has a different purpose now and that purpose only involves statistics. The kids go to school for a couple of hours and get credit for the course. How can 50 kids packed in a room built for 34 be educated? Labels: 50 in a class.

In other news, I finally decided on getting a full time bus route instead of bouncing from bus to bus. I still do field trips but I have a set route morning and afternoon. It's been a godsend for me given my current college schedule. It's nice to know exactly where I am going to be on a daily basis. Thanks for stopping by!

Got bullied by a bunch of middle school students, it got me thinking. What punishment would they face for bullying. Is it enough? Would it be too strict, or not enough to make an impression. One father was even quoted as saying that his son was sufficiently embarrassed by the publicity of the event and that he felt that was "enough" of a consequence for his son.
