The Camel's Spot. Meanderings east of the Nullarbor. Skip to primary content. Eating soup and reading on a rainy day. June 4, 2012. On Saturday I arrived back home after a three week holiday in Europe which involved bridesmaiding for my best friend, 2.5 hours waiting to see the catacoombes in Paris, recovering from a cold in Prague and tootling around Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France with A.’s grandfather. A took this photo of Lake Constance (Bodensee) at sunset near Lindau, Germany. Also did som...

Tales and Curiosities of One Year. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Kiwis Don't Make Straight Roads. So yeah, that's pretty much it - we leave early tomorrow morning from Te Anau to the beginning of the Milford Track, and return in three days! Pray for good weather . Wednesday, May 13, 2009. We see a rainbow everyday. Also, Mack just was able to put a ton of his edited photos up on shutterfly. He has a computer, unlike myself, hence the larger number of edited/nice photos). Go see them here. Here, we're at the fi...

Improvisation: We see a rainbow everyday
http://jstoneblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/we-see-rainbow-everyday.html
Tales and Curiosities of One Year. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. We see a rainbow everyday. Oh, paradise. Not really, but since it rains here so often, we are actually averaging over one rainbow per day. Kinda crazy when you think about it, but the weather here is so strange, we can't even rely on the weather forecast from the day beforehand. Chances are it's either (a) rainy, (b) windy, or (c) a combination of (a) and (b). Also, Mack just was able to put a ton of his edited photos up on shutterfly. Of Conser...

Lemon Living: March 2013
http://lemon-living.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 21, 2013. I hope you all know by now that I don't do the sponsored post thing. I can't stand it when bloggers start doing that. Anyway. On Tuesday night I could not be bothered cooking (I have been unusually tired after work lately - think it's time for a break, lucky I am taking one this weekend! And I stopped at the supermarket to get my usual mussels or smoked salmon to stick on a salad or with some veg - something I do every time I just can't be bothered. I found this yummy soup;.

west coast kitchen: April 2008
http://westcoastkitchen.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Growing, cooking and eating on the West Coast of NZ. Monday, April 28, 2008. Recipe is Polenta and Ricotta cake, a mediterranean style cake with figs and honey, chosen by Caitlin of Engineer Baker. I love polenta, so was interested to try a cake recipe using it. I used Rata honey, a NZ bush honey which has quite a strong flavour. I halved the recipe and still filled (to the brim) a medium sized tart tin, so the whole recipe must make an enormous tart. Inspiration.on the menu were quince and pear crum...

The Camel's Spot. Meanderings east of the Nullarbor. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Bow to the Fiddle. August 2, 2012. I like coming across music that I would never have found without the internet. This one was a suggestion on Offbeat Bride for first dance songs that haven’t been done to death. I don’t think I’d dance to this one but I like it a lot. You can listen to it on their myspace:. Bow to the Fiddle – Dodd Ferrelle. Ready Player One (Spoiler Alert). July 2, 2012. And the only...

eat sleep dream love food: June 2012
http://eatsleepdreamlovefood.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Eat sleep dream love food. June 3, 2012. A day at the Good Food and Wine Show. Yesterday I visited the one and only Good Food and Wine Show. In Melbourne. The thing I love about the Good Food and Wine Show is that you get to see what new products are out and about, and even better, you get the chance to taste just about everything! Without a doubt the highlight of the day was when I got the chance to meet the most extraordinary chef and beautiful person, Maggie Beer. 2 Chilli Pecorino by Puglia Cheese.
