Unto Him We Live: March 2015
http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Unto Him We Live. Sunday, March 22, 2015. This week we celebrated Faith's 15th birthday. To mark the occasion, I captured a few photos of our rapidly changing teen. Well as rewarding as it was as a photographer to snap this particular picture of our porcelain princess, the photo doesn't do a good job of capturing the real Faith. Is the real Faith. Faith is a walking smile who lights up our lives. She is a gift from God! We thank Him every day that He placed her in our lives through adoption. I would like...

Unto Him We Live: A Sweet day Day to Celebrate
http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-sweet-day-day-to-celebrate.html
Unto Him We Live. Thursday, July 30, 2015. A Sweet day Day to Celebrate. Today was a very happy one for our family. Anna, who's in a wedding here this weekend, flew in for a long weekend. She couldn't bring the whole family, but she brought the newest member of our tribe, six-week-old Jillian. The little one had quite a fan club meet her at the airport! And here was Jillian's reaction to meeting her many aunties and uncles as her Uncle Matthew held her still tiny hand. Not all of us were able to make the...

Unto Him We Live: May 2015
http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Unto Him We Live. Sunday, May 31, 2015. Too Wise to Be Mistaken, Too Good to Be Unkind. Around the time we adopted the middle trio (Christina, Faith and Hope) from Russia in 2005, God, in His providence, led me to a gem of a book that I've read and reread a number of times as we parent special needs children. In Too Wise to Be Mistaken, Too Good to be Unkind: Christian Parents Contend with Autism. Whate'er my God ordains is right:. Holy his will abideth;. I will be still whate'er he doth,. He is my God;.

Unto Him We Live: Eager to Reread a Book that Changed my Life
http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015/07/eager-to-reread-book-that-changed-my.html
Unto Him We Live. Sunday, July 12, 2015. Eager to Reread a Book that Changed my Life. A great woman of God recently passed form this world of pain into the permanent beauty of heaven. Elisabeth Elliot first caught the world's attention when her husband, Jim Elliot, and four other men were brutally murdered by the Ecuadorian Indian tribe they were gently and lovingly trying to reach with the great good news of Jesus' life and death and resurrection on their behalf. The relationship between man and God is ...

http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015/07/happy-21st-sarah.html
Unto Him We Live. Monday, July 27, 2015. Happy 21st, Sarah! Sarah, who has her own cake-baking business, specifically asked to have ice cream instead of cake for her birthday celebration. The Blue Bunny ice cream parlor in LeMars was the perfect setting in which to celebrate her 21st birthday. We were blessed that our dear friend, Kali Moores (Alison's sister-in-law), was visiting from Boston. We love having her visit her second home. our home! We thank God for placing Sarah in our family 14 years ago!

Unto Him We Live. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I simply can't let today slip by without mentioning that this is the 10th anniversary. Of our adoption of biological sisters from the town of Klinsty in the region of Bryansk in extreme western Russia. Christina, Hope and Faith (l-r) were 7, 3, and 5 when we adopted them. They have brought immeasurable joy to our family and we thank God for them daily! What a gift these older-Russian orphans have proven to be! Labels: adoptive parent joys. Matt and I also deli...

Unto Him We Live. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Love, Joy, and Bubbles. Eliana (11) and Hope (13). Last summer I shared some "just us" time with our two youngest children. The evening of laughter over the girls' antics with summertime toys. Was so filled with joy, that I've anticipated repeating the fun for a year. This week that opportunity presented itself. Once again, we had the sweetest time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Jim and Denise- December 30, 1983. I'm Ready for 2016.

Unto Him We Live: Would the Orphan's Dream Come True?
http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2015/07/would-orphans-dream-come-true.html
Unto Him We Live. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Would the Orphan's Dream Come True? Last week our family made a last minute trip to central Iowa. We'd gotten word about a horse for sale so quickly rescheduled the days events. Then we jumped in our trusty 15-passenger van for an utterly new experience. This adventure was an especially important one to Mr R and me. Now Kirsten is back home and ready for the next step in this journey. She hopes to learn the Pat Parelli natural horsemanship training method. When ...

Unto Him We Live: June 2015

Unto Him We Live. Monday, June 29, 2015. The Family's Newest Little One. Newborns might just be God's most marvelous creation. Staying with Aaron and Anna gave me the perfect opportunity to capture these photos of Jillian. At one point as I was adjusting my camera, Mocha came over to check out the newest family member. This big smile was Jillian's immediate response. I think the two of them are going to be good friends! The rest of these photos can speak for themselves. To God be the glory! They will spe...
