It brings some nice performance improvements as demonstrated in three. From Chris Wilson. These blog posts additionally showcase Intel SNA. Which happens to be quite an impressive DDX. Driver. It provides 2D graphics hardware acceleration for X applications via XRender extension. And is clearly doing this faster than software rendering. And posted render bench.
