After seeing Phill off in Sydney we headed to Outback Queensland and spent a few days gem fossicking in Saphire and walking in the vast Carnarvon Gorge where the Kangaroos are man size and the Kookaburras stare you out! We entered Malaysia from Thailand, crossing the border by train at Padang Besar before continuing onto Georgetown, Penang.
