I took out the huge, old family album to see if I could find a picture of my grandparents to add to the posting from last week. I looked thru the entire album and was so depressed by the time I finished. Weird. I’m not sure why it affected me that way but it did. A picture of my mom on her honeymoon. Wasn't she pretty? Feet that are permanently darker than the rest of his skin because he would rather go barefoot. Legs that I can't tell if they're dirty or bruised. Usually it's a combination of the two. Singing to songs he hears even if he doesn't know the words. Running: around the house, to the neighbors, away from Lucy. So ticklish and he loves it. I sure do love him! The Journey of Life.

Our family and our life. Thursday, May 2, 2013. A few days after Lucy's birthday I took her to the doc for her baby well check up. She is 28.5 inches long (24%) and weighs 18 lbs 10 oz (31%). If there's a pile of toys and one book, she'll crawl over to the book and start looking at the pictures. I have a book in her crib with her and when she wakes up in the morning or from naps, she sits in her bed and reads for a while before she calls for me to come and get her. Happy Birthday Lucy, we love you!

Our family and our life. Sunday, October 21, 2012. Lucy turned a whopping 6 months old on Thursday and I just can't believe it! She just keeps growing and developing and it kinda makes me sad. With Carter I was so excited with every new thing he would do but with Lucy I know that every new thing she does it just means she's growing up and becoming less of a baby. It really makes me sad.
