You Are My Sunshine!: December 2010
http://bobkatfamily.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 21, 2010. A Wonderful Christmas Story. Merry Christmas, friends! Rather than a card this year, I want to share with you a Christmas moment. Wednesday night was a crazy experience on the roadways, as I'm sure you know. But, as the holidays seem to remind us, sometimes the best moments come out of chaos. I wrote down my thoughts below as Wednesday night unfolded . . . The church is warm, and safe, and full of people tonight. I have so many thoughts I want to process about this night &...

You Are My Sunshine!: The Tunnel of Parenthood
http://bobkatfamily.blogspot.com/2011/10/tunnel-of-parenthood.html
Tuesday, October 25, 2011. The Tunnel of Parenthood. 8220;Oh,” she exclaimed, “you’re in the darkest part of motherhood! It’s going to get better! Joan was elegant and well-spoken. She turned to me and cheerfully asked, “So, what are the ages of your children? 8221; I answered a bit sheepishly, “4 ½, 2 ½, and 1 ½,” unsure of where the conversation was heading. “Oh,” she exclaimed, “you’re in the darkest part of motherhood! It’s going to get better! 8221; Say what? What could top that? 8221; I didn’...

You Are My Sunshine!: Pumpkin Patch!
http://bobkatfamily.blogspot.com/2012/10/pumpkin-patch.html
Tuesday, October 16, 2012. This evening after Bobby got off from work, we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. We attempted to go this past Sunday, but it was a windy and drizzly day, so we had to bump it to today. The kids were beyond excited to go! Ava was insistent on picking more than one pumpkin and when I finally asked her why she wanted so many pumpkins, she told me it was because if she just has to pick one, then the fun will be over and we will have to leave. Aw! We were cracking up!

Ohhh Lucas.I caught him playing so happily in the kitchen the other day, so I grabbed my camera (the video of all this is on my wall) and when I got over there, I realized why he looked taller than usual.and then, well it just ended poorly.Sorry Lucas! He is ok though of course. He actually didn't even cry! Of going #2 in the potty chair!

You Are My Sunshine!: July 2010
http://bobkatfamily.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Ava and Lucas' birthdays with a big luau party at our pool. We had a blast! Gotta love the Dollar Tree because ALL our decorations came from there! MY favorite was the fruit bouquet that I made after my friend Lindsey inspired me! I also felt very Martha Stewart-ish when many a nap time was spent handpainting sand buckets for all the kids for their take home gifts! Tuesday, July 13, 2010. I mean, we came upon some real DUDS! We knew our budget and wer...

Riding the Elevator: November 2009
http://ridingtheelevator.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. Belated Thanksgiving thoughts. . . My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone this Thanksgiving weekend. I would like to just make a few quick comments about what I am thankful for this year. First of all, I am thankful for my husband, who is not only a spouse and lover, but my very best friend. I am thankful for my extended family. For my mom, dad and brothers, Brian and Matthew. I pray for you daily. For my grandma who is and always will be, my best friend. The Blind Side: a ...

You Are My Sunshine!: Joyful Mothering
http://bobkatfamily.blogspot.com/2011/08/joyful-mothering.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. My girlfriend Lindsey sent me a link to this blog post, and it really hit home with me, so I wanted to share it here:. Seeing Through The Weeds. By Christin, on August 23rd, 2011. Today’s guest post is by Andrea of Whispers in the Silence. Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. Psalm 127: 3-5a NKJV. These weedy tho...

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. And My Heart Grows. I typed this on my phone the other day while we were on vacation. I intended for it to be my own little reflection, but after I shared it with Bobby, he really encouraged me to share it here. So here goes. So today is one of those days when I wish that Ava could be forever 4, Lucas could stay a sweet 2 year old and Noah could always be my snuggly newborn! What if we came up with a million reasons why we were "done" having children? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
