Team Teddy Bear: Meet Barbara and Karen
http://teamteddybear.blogspot.com/2011/03/meet-barbara-and-karen.html
Thursday, March 17, 2011. Meet Barbara and Karen. In my previous post. I had mentioned that Jeanne had gotten a call from Marian, our transplant coordinator, stating that Jeanne's donor would like to be in touch with her. Since then, we've made contact (via email and Facebook) with Barbara, who donated the kidney that is now inside of Jeanne, and Karen, who is Barbara's daughter who received a kidney as part of the chain. They both seem like wonderful people. Or from this video. I googled up last night.

http://teamteddybear.blogspot.com/2007/12/our-pkd-story-chapter-4-it-depends.html
Sunday, December 30, 2007. Our PKD Story - Chapter 4: It Depends. 8221; to which she cryptically responded “It depends” and said she would share the news with me when I got home. Of course, I was rather unproductive the rest of the afternoon as I wondered what kind of news she could have to which “It depends” would be an appropriate response. Somewhere along the way, the thought struck me: Are we having twins? Sure enough, when I got home, Jeanne showed me the sonogram confirming my suspicion. I missed y...

Team Teddy Bear: A week without a doctor's visit
http://teamteddybear.blogspot.com/2011/04/week-without-doctors-visit.html
Saturday, April 2, 2011. A week without a doctor's visit. Yes, it is true. My family managed to make it a whole week without a single one of us visiting a doctor! No clinic visits, no surgeons, no lab work, no visits to the ER, no nephrologists, no sick kid visits to the family doctor, no hospital stays, no dentists, no eye doctors, no chiropractors, and, of course, no dialysis! The other reason is that Jeanne has been through this before, having had her first transplant back in 1998. She's been foll...

Team Teddy Bear: Our PKD Story - Chapter 2: Becoming Parents
http://teamteddybear.blogspot.com/2007/12/our-pkd-story-chapter-2-becoming.html
Friday, December 28, 2007. Our PKD Story - Chapter 2: Becoming Parents. Jeanne's medical care was pretty uneventful for the first couple of years – and uneventful is exactly what you want when you are dealing with PKD. Then, in December of 1994, we learned Jeanne was pregnant! Finally, about a week before the due date, during one of Jeanne’s doctor visits, her blood pressure was way too high, and they scheduled an emergency C-section for that evening. At 8:46PM on July 27, 1995, TJ was born! Our PKD Stor...
