Three Reasons Why Family Vacations Suck. Last week, I went on vacation with my family. When I say “family,” I don’t just mean my wife and kids. By “family” I mean my in-laws. My brother-in-law and his wife and kids. Six adults and seven kids, all related by blood or marriage, stuffed into the same beach house for eight days. What was I thinking?
