We are very fortunate for all the support from the community, customers and our hard working staff and volunteers that make Plain Cellars what it is today and what it will become in the future. The tasting room at the winery in community of Plain is open from 11:00am-5:00pm on Saturdays. It is located at 18749 Alpine Acres Road, 13 miles north of downtown Leavenworth. Last weekend was yet another session of bottling for us. We are bottling our 2011 wines and readying them for you! Mister Jackson doesn't quite love bottling as much as we do; hang in there buddy! There is a tennis ball and a trip to the river in your future. Next weekend marks the final wine bottling of our 2011 wines!

Monday, September 24, 2012. As long as I can remember, my grandfather has been making wine. It started out as a hobby. He used cherries and other fruits to make his wines at first (and this was all fine), but when the hobby became something more, suddenly the cherry wine just wasn't enough. If he could make wine with cherries, why not true wine grapes? Today we still help my grandfather bottle wine from his basement so that he and my grandmother are set for their yearly rations. We have a couple of special wines that have been in oak for 30 months and are soon going in the bottle. Our 2015 Barrels of Reserve Cab and a 100% Petit Verdot will be open for tasting this. Saturday 3/17. Stop in between 12:00 and 6:00 and sample these two wonderful wines. We are also doing a March Madness sale of the last 2013 reds at the winery and downtown. The Cab Sauvignon, Malbec, Summer Solstice and Just Plain Red have a few cases of each left. Bob, Roxanne and Crew. And the hits just keep coming!
