What Ale?: June 2011
http://what-ale.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Ale reviews by an intermediate, for amateurs. Tuesday, 7 June 2011. Full Bore: aka ROCKET FUEL. Full bore. I think the name speaks for itself. Another brainchild from Hunters Brewery in Ipplepen, I have to say they have done another good job. Lets just start with outlining the most important aspect of this ale, and quickly mention in passing the fact that is has an 8% ABV! That my friends, results in a pint you have to be reasonably careful with. Hey, can I get a pint of the full bore? Interestingly, Hun...

What Ale?: Hobgoblin Ale
http://what-ale.blogspot.com/2010/11/hobgoblin-ale.html
Ale reviews by an intermediate, for amateurs. Thursday, 25 November 2010. Fortunately I have been to 2 pubs in my life that does it, one of which is in my town, and one where I used to go to university. The spinning wheel in Paignton, and the Hobgoblin pub in Bath. Both of these places pull a great pint if your ever in the area. Above is the spinny, and below is really one of my favourite hideouts in Bath, the Hob itself. What Ale?: Pheasant Plucker and the Noah's Ark.
http://what-ale.blogspot.com/2010/11/pheasant-plucker-and-noahs-ark.html
Ale reviews by an intermediate, for amateurs. Tuesday, 9 November 2010. Pheasant Plucker and the Noah's Ark. Today I was invited to the pub after work by some colleagues (yeah, part of the cool kids now) and I had some ale which I have had before and trust. Pheasant Plucker is another one of those local ales like Otter Ale that can literally be found everywhere in South Devon. This is good, as it makes a fine pint. Which I am dying to try. Ale reviews by an intermediate, for amateurs. Monday, 6 June 2011. A Pint of your best Piddle please. Now that I work in a pub, I am beginning to understand the value of customer/ bartender interaction when it comes to the purchase of ale. Its a fine art- discussing flavours, heaviness, aroma, ABV, and the all important offering of tasters. In the words of the brewery itself, "I love a good Piddle". Posted by Jamie "JD" Duffield. Chips Ahoy!: Metronomy - The Look

Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Thursday, 14 April 2011. Metronomy - The Look. Posted by Reg Skoda. 2 May 2011 at 08:39. This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. You’ve got a design here that’s not too flashy, but makes a statement as big as what you’re saying. Great job, indeed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). CAST, in order of appearance.

Chips Ahoy!: Titanic Struggle
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/titanic-struggle.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Tuesday, 12 April 2011. GUINNESS and Twiglets were offered at the pit stop this time, and it would have been churlish to refuse. We were out hashing again with the Haldon H3, who don't seem to mind who shows up as long as everyone chips in for the grub and everyone eventually takes a turn at setting the run. Mrs H with Reg(2), DIY Dave with Baxter, JP with Half-Shaved Honey and Dodgeball joined the walkers. At the halfway point, where the walkers tu...
