In the high places, you find yourself. But, growth occurs in the valleys. Early on graduation day, we took our first “break” from the philanthropic portion of the trip and decided to go have some fun. But, graduation is primarily the whole reason we came. So, we had to wake up before 5 to ensure we would go “play” and make it back in plenty of time to still attend the big show. But, eventually we made it to some pools, jumped off some falls, and probably will get the parasite Bilharzia.

In the high places, you find yourself. But, growth occurs in the valleys. We made it to Dubai: the city of excess. Of course, things didn’t go smoothly when we arrived. A little hotel voucher mix up just meant we spent an extra 2 hours at the airport being told the same thing by a dozen people who were no very helpful. Regardless, the Krochet Kids crew eventually arrived and we snuck into the hotel “special” entrance via taxi. Said: So excited for you guys and your adventure. Wow.

Saturday, June 28, 2014. I had an epiphany yesterday. Maybe more than just the title of my master's thesis, perhaps this is actually my calling: my vocation. Perhaps I haven't found the right fit because I was slightly off-target. Maybe I am not the peace worker myself, but the encourager of peace workers. Not the one who stays with and focuses on one group or location, but, (I'd like to think) like Paul, the one who stays connected with and encourages peace workers in many contexts. I'll be found in you.
