It is what it is. Plain tofu came into existence when I was about to embark on a three month research trip in China. I wanted a non-controversial space where I could post up pictures and some scientific notes to my friends and family. Maybe that is why it is ‘plain’ tofu as opposed to strange, crazy, weird, ridiculous, stinky, confusing, radical, political, opinionated, way-too-personal, should-I-be-concerned-about-you tofu. It is what it is. I have 8% battery left on my computer and I wondered what I would say. I suppose I’ve always been a melancholic and I could describe my melancholy. But I’m more interested in the people and actions that have punctured the melancholy. That have allowed me to feel as though there is room and space to feel what is inconvenient, to be more than how I judge myself.
