It is quite likely that it was bought from Handley Page Ltd as they were stockists at the time and advertised 1,000 yards of North British Rubber proofed fabric. North British Rubber Advert. The company was owned by Captain Walter George Windham later Sir. An illustration of how the Windham Detachable Body worked. Early in 1909 Windham comissioned de Pischoff and Koechlin of France, to produce him a biplane.
