PlanetLab Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). PlanetLab is an overlay testbed designed to allow researchers to experiment with network applications and services that benefit from distribution across a wide geographic area. All uses of PlanetLab should be consistent with this high-level goal. While the central PlanetLab authority is often the first point-of-contact for complaints about misbehaving services, it is our policy to put the complainant in direct contact with the researcher that is responsible for the ...

Federation | PlanetLab
http://www.planet-lab.org/federation
PlanetLab is in the early stages of federation. This means forking off autonomous authorities that are responsible for a subset of the global slices and nodes. These authorities will then peer with each other to build a federated system. This effort is being done with an eye towards eventual federation across a collection of testbeds, including GENI. For an overview of the architecture (preliminary draft form), see Federating Slice-Based Network Substrates. Read the Federation Roadmap.
