Build compost bin from pallets. Next stage- second bed at the front of the plot. Lots of weeds but some has been covered in polythene so should be ok. We didn't make it to the allotment last weekend, and as a result the plot was covered in weeds again, so I spent half an hour weeding while the kids played with water. A few fairly leggy Broccoli plants went in too, in the area where I'd planted parsnips which didn't germinate. This recipe is a clean take on sangria, leaving out the sulfites (which can cause headaches and hangovers) and using organic, fresh ingredients. 4 cups organic watermelon, chopped. 1 cup organic strawberries. 1 bottle sulfite free organic red wine (I like New Orleans Hill Winery brands). Serve over ice when ready.
