Hi Claudia, we enjoyed very much our stay at the Rufiji River Camp! The safari excursions were great. The accommodation was fine, by the way we were lodged in a nice family lodge (the luxury type), even though we did not pay any supplement. I believe there was a confusion with the prices and I am glad I did not accept to pay a supplement. The camp’s staff and the guide and the driver were professional and agreeable. The only area of improvement I would mention is the food: not bad but can be improved.

After a bumpy boat ride back to the Mahale airstrip (really the opposite of our smooth ride there) we boarded another small plane that took us to Manyara. In Manyara we were greeted by our guide and driver Nathan, who would be with us for quite a while. Nathan then drove us to Plantation Lodge. And went swimming in the pool. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Check out my safari look. You see, it’s a little dusty viewing wild game so I wore this bandana as a way of not breathing in half the Tarangire. I’m also ready if I decide to hold up the souvenir stand. Our last night in Africa was spent at the Kikoti Safari Camp (click). Which is literally out in the middle of nowhere; something like 100 miles from Arusha. We arrived around 6:00 PM after spending the day viewing game in Tarangire National Park (click).
