Always In Training: A Tall, Tall, Truthful, Tale.

http://plantedbythewaters.blogspot.com/2011/11/tall-tall-truthful-tale.html

November 3, 2011. A Tall, Tall, Truthful, Tale. Okay, so John had to tweak the measurements, and chisel and stain and on and on and on.But we love it. HE did such a great job. HE did ALL of the work! Last night John got a call that he would have the day off today. so of course like a sweet wife at 9:30pm, I suggested that we see if the bed could be put together. After an "easy" 3 hours. it was all done! NOW the Funny-ish part. IT IS SO TALL! Holy cow is this this tall! 11/3/11, 3:57 PM. It looks great :).

Always In Training: Getting here.

http://plantedbythewaters.blogspot.com/2011/09/getting-here.html

September 10, 2011. So I wanted to wait to blog until I had taken pictures of our rental home, but. I keep waiting until the house is completely "finished" and semi de boxed. While it is almost done, I will just move on to the other things that we have accomplished while being here. John has started his job and amazingly a month has gone by! They had a blast! It is about a 5 min walk to the gorgeous lake Tahoe. From here, we drove to Emerald Bay.named appropriately for it's color. GORGEOUS! Not working o...

Always In Training: 2010

http://plantedbythewaters.blogspot.com/2009/12/2010.html

December 29, 2009. Here we go. It's time for the New Year's resolution list to go up on the blog. That makes it sound like I have done one before, but no, I haven't. I am hoping that it will keep me accountable to those two of you who might read my blog. 1) Run a half marathon. Have started a run log. And team named NO EXCUSES with other friends to keep me accountable. 2) Read the Bible in a year. Have RE-signed up for an internet Bible reading plan. I get the e-mails daily. 5) Read 4 books. Good for you...

Monday, July 28, 2014. I tried to type a concise retelling of our awesome trip to Jackson Hole, but there was so much to say and my retelling kept going. and going. and going. At dinner last night, the girls were still talking about their memories from the trip, so I collected their comments about Jackson Hole:. Reese's Comments (Sunday through Thursday):. For Nana's birthday, we all went to Jackin' Hole. Daddy went early and hiked the mountains with Uncle Trey. He saw a poke-e-pine. We hiked on mountain.

A Girl's Eye View: December 2013

http://averyandkate.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 30, 2013. Christmas Day gave us time with Nonnie, Great Nonnie and the whole family. Having everyone over to our house was so exciting for the kids and they loved bonding with uncles and aunts over gifts. Having everyone in our home is certainly something we hope becomes a tradition as well. Watching Christmas unfold in the eyes of our girls brings its own sort of magic, and we are blessed beyond measure by their delight in the season. Click here for pictures. Monday, December 23, 2013.

September 15, 2010 at 7:19 pm ( Uncategorized. This week, we are staycating. We have not taken a chunk of time off since Christmas last year! We are three days into it, and I’m telling you, it’s the best thing we have ever done. The goal of our time is to rest, relax, and recharge. Here are the reasons we chose to staycate instead of vacate…. 1 It’s cheap. Ok, make that “free”. Who doesn’t like that? Sounds like we are depriving our kids, doesn’t it? So far, here’s what we’ve done…. Tuesday: Went to a lo...

MyBrandNewDay

Thursday, January 1, 2015. So much of my life comes back to one passage, my favorite.Deuteronomy 8. It's written to the Israelites, but I think that the reason I like it so much is because it shows God's character so clearly. I like the KJV's poetic delivery on this one.I can't help but read it out loud. All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord. Sware unto your fathers. Thy God chasteneth thee.
