Why Plant in NYC? Thursday, September 24, 2015. Back to School Bash. On September 10, we held a "Back to School Bash" for the children and families living in Jackson Heights. We had games, snacks, a Bible story, and of course, a school supply giveaway! A BIG shout out goes to the VBS kids of Heritage Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama who donated hundreds of pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, and many more supplies. Location: Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, USA. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Why Plant in NYC? Friday, September 4, 2015. What a fun-filled and very busy trip we had back to the Promise Land! S overflowing by the time we had to say good-bye (which, for the record, was. No easier than it was the first time we said good-bye.). Location: Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, USA. Sign Up for Emails.

Why Plant in NYC? May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us - so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:34. For the last several years, the South Asian Center, a ministry of Urban Nations Outreach, has served as an evangelical outreach. Gathering together according to heart languages ...

Why Plant in NYC? More than 600,000 South Asians live in Metro New York City. The majority of them come from Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist backgrounds. Acts 1:8 commissions us, the Church. If we really care about the nations that are coming to our shores, then we should have churches started among these peoples. I am excited about what God will do through the Bishops and the Jackson Heights Church Plant! National Coordinator, South Asians and Muslim People Groups for the North American Mission Board (NAMB).

Planting in the Heartland
Planting in the Heartland. Monday, July 28, 2014. Problems Abound but God Surrounds. Life is full of problems: health, job, marriage, children, church, family, neighbors, house, etc.,. Some problems are minor while others are major life changing issues. How we react to each problem paints a picture of my trust in God to my family. Psalm 3, penned by David as his son, Absalom, was trying to kill him, is a great reminder on how to deal with life’s problems. How I react to problems affect those around me.
