Það kemur fyrir að fjölskyldan kaupir plöntu á leið upp í Grímsnes til að stinga niður í lítið bústaðarland sem þar er á byrjunarstigi ræktunar. Hér verður sagt frá garðahlyni - (l. Acer pseudoplatanus, e. sycamore maple), en einn slíkur var keyptur á 1.275 kr. í Húsasmiðjunni Selfossi þann 17. júlí 2010.
