Living Plastic Free: Progress Report: Year Two
http://plasticfree.blogspot.com/2009/01/progress-report-year-two.html
EnviroWoman Makes a Pledge: No New Plastic. Monday, January 5, 2009. Progress Report: Year Two. Hello little blog. Have you been lonesome without me? I’ve been busy…but still living the NoNewPlastic Pledge. In fact I’ve just finished YearTwo of the Pledge. My 2008 plastic consumption weighs in at meager .42 kg,. That’s less than 1 pound. About the same as my Year One usage. I’m proof positive it can be done. And if I can do it, so can everyone else. I think we’ve just got too many choices. And ...Now thi...
Living Plastic Free: December 2006
http://plasticfree.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
EnviroWoman Makes a Pledge: No New Plastic. Sunday, December 31, 2006. A New Year's Resolution: Rules. I’m giving up plastic in 2007. That means starting January 1st, I'm not buying/accepting products that contain or are packaged in plastic. Sounds simple? Think about it….shampoo/deodorant in plastic bottles, toothpaste with plastic lids, toilet paper wrapped in plastic…and that’s just the morning routine. Read about my adventures in the no-plastic zone. Here are the rules. I’ll blog on the SINNERS...
Living Plastic Free: PROGRESS REPORT: MARCH
http://plasticfree.blogspot.com/2007/03/progress-report-march.html
EnviroWoman Makes a Pledge: No New Plastic. Saturday, March 31, 2007. I’ve finished my third month living plastic free in 2007. I’m now officially one quarter of the way there. This photo shows all the new plastic I’ve let into my life during 2007. It’s a pretty paltry amount, I’m proud to say. March has been a pretty easy month to get through. There’s been some positives and negatives. Good plastic fortune this month. I found a local pharmacy that will let me re-use my own prescription pill bottle.

Living Plastic Free: Plastic Free: Crackers
http://plasticfree.blogspot.com/2007/01/plastic-free-crackers.html
EnviroWoman Makes a Pledge: No New Plastic. Friday, January 12, 2007. You may be thinking ‘Wow, this EnviroWoman is a hardcore GRANOLA-type’. The sad reality is — I’m more of a RiceCakeChick. There’s nothing better to satisfy the munchies (and I mean that so TOTALLY NOT the way you think) then Quaker Butter Popcorn Rice Cakes. But, maybe I’ll have to resort to granola after all, ‘cuz it ain't looking plastic-pretty in the cracker aisle. Stroll down the cracker aisle and things are pretty deceptive. This ...

How Many clothes Does One Need? | Wasteweardaily
https://wasteweardaily.wordpress.com/2009/02/07/how-many-clothes-does-one-need
How Many clothes Does One Need? February 7, 2009 at 5:29 pm ( challenge. So I need a plan. I need to decide exactly how many pants, skirts, shirts, blouses, sweater, jackets, and coats to keep. Do any of you out there subscribe to the system where each time you buy a new item, an equivalent item has to go? If you do, then how do you get to the starting place where you decide you have enough? So how many of each item of clothing do you have? February 8, 2009 at 1:11 am. Wasting money | Confessions of a Closet Environmentalist
https://closetenvironmentalist.wordpress.com/2007/04/06/wasting-money
Confessions of a Closet Environmentalist. April 6, 2007 at 1:27 pm. Second, I would like to apologize to my friend Ana… She was always an out-of-the-closet environmentalist and we used to make fun of her for being so naive back in university. She was always getting on everyone’s case about saving water, walking instead of driving, and other eco-nazi stuff like that. Sorry Ana! I was also quite happy to find out that my favorite tea filters. Entry filed under: consumption. 3 Comments Add your own. Nail up...

100th Monkey: Finally some recognition!
http://westernbluebird.blogspot.com/2010/02/finally-some-recognition.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. All year I've been waiting for a call to go to a school I enjoyed visiting when I gave watershed programs. The teachers there had asked me if I could sub, but at that time it was voerboden. Wednesday, I finally got a call to go there and the fourth/fifth grade teachers recognized me! She said, "you're like my kids, quiet, confident and competent." yay! Posted by Miss Sub. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is where I post what I think, what I do, and what I make. I am...

http://napknits.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
And baby makes five. Monday, July 18, 2011. It's good to see you again. How long do you think you will be staying? Just out of curiosity. I still haven't bothered to post any projects from the last six months or so, but here's some of it:. These (except the cat) were Christmas presents for Rayona. The heads are Paper Mache, and the bodies are cloth. They take FOREVER, but are fun to do. Also, Big Baby got new hair, new pajamas and slippers:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 100th Monkey: August 2009
http://westernbluebird.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 02, 2009. Potato bounty and troubled worm bin. I harvested my potatoes today. Unfortunately, the hilling technique did nothing for them. The potatoes were still all found at the very bottom and I certainly did not get 100 lbs. of them. But they still look delicious! I went to switch my worm bin around and found the bottom bin was a soupy mess that smells like a cow farm. Unfortunately, the only thing I can do is leave it open and stink out the neighbors. Good lord, it's awful!
The Things That Happen: November 2007
http://ummmhayley.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
The Things That Happen. Some stuff that, i don't know, maybe you should look at. Thursday, November 22, 2007. This isn't my country. Just because I like bikes doesn't mean I can keep pretending I belong here. My teacher stared at me. I said, "why not? What about salesperson requires a bare head? Sometimes I wear indian clothes just because I like them- it's not because I have an Indian-like attitude that day. (I mean, what does that even mean? The point is, I want to go home. avoid PLASTIC
Tuesday, October 5, 2010. The Harmful Effects of Plastic Bags. About a hundred billion plastic bags are used each year in the US alone. And then, when one considers the huge economies and populations of India, China, Europe, and other parts of the world, the numbers can be staggering. The problem is further exacerbated by the developed countries shipping off their plastic waste to developing countries like India. Here are some of the harmful effects of plastic bags:. Plastic bags litter the landscape.
