Platform No. 13. Sunday, January 25, 2009. Yesterday ISA took us to visit three different sites in Guanajuato, three of the strangest places I've ever been. We started off the morning with a visit to the Mummy Museum, which has probably a hundred or more naturally preserved bodies on display. I guess there are such high quantities of lime and sandstone in the soil here that 3% of all people buried don't decompose. It was pretty creepy, even their hair was still there! Platform No. 13. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. I have been eyeing a specific guidebook to Mexico for months, and I finally received it for Christmas! It is called The People's Guide to Mexico. It is unlike any other travel guidebook I have ever read or seen. It's wonderful, and anyone who ever decides to go to Mexico for purposes other than to sunbathe shouldn't be without it.
