The SQUEEZE procedure has now been changed to make use of the new functionality provided by SHELXL2014 and up for structure refinement. The latter eliminates the need of working with solvent removed HKL files and also allows for twinning to be taken into account. LEPAGE (mang[0.3]) (MaxDot[2]) (TwoAxCrit[0.5]). The LEPAGE option in PLATON checks for possible higher metrical symmetry of the lattice (following the excellent algorithm published by Y. LePage, but coded independently from scratch). Is an optional parameter setting an alternative angular maximum deviation from metrical symmetry [default 0.3 degree]. Values greater than 2 may indicate non-merohedral twinning. The maximum value is 6. CELL a b c alpha beta gamma. TITL look for metrical symmetry.

WHAT IS PLUTON AND HOW TO GET STARTED. The previously available standalone molecular graphics program PLUTON (by A.L.S), a decendent of the well known PLUTO (Motherwell and Clegg) program from around 1978, is now available only as a build-in option within the PLATON suite. The original PLUTON is now obsolete and no longer supported and maintained as a stand-alone program. There are six ways to run the PLUTON option within PLATON. With the '-p' option on the command line. Example: platon -p sucrose.spf.
