roadways: bittersweet post
http://goodman-cainesroadways.blogspot.com/2011/08/bittersweet-post.html
Monday, August 8, 2011. Well, It's been about 3 years of blogging for me at this Roadways address.and now the time has come to make a change. The first reason is because I reached my capacity for uploading images! Not possible. :). The second is because we are really feeling like we are moving into a new phase with the boys as they are entering their pre-teen/teen years. Also, as we are not living 'on the road' anymore.we are now living and learning in the country on a farm. Families on the Road. Twelve ...

Friday, April 29, 2011. Weather Fluctuations and Power Outage. Nature rarely ceases to amaze me. First and foremost-at how long she can drag out cold and dreary days for months on end! But, this post has more to do with highlighting a number of extremes within a 3 hour period surrounding sunrise yesterday morning. The winds were really high, the clouds were moving along fast-then slow.clouds, then sun- rain, then not, calm, then not calm. it was rather mesmerizing to watch and document. While our hike di...

Saturday, May 28, 2011. Visit to Guelph Lake. So, Jeff and I tied the canoe to the roof of the truck and off we went to Guelph Lake. Lots of people have been telling us we should canoe there. Despite the possibility of rain and the windier conditions than I would normally like, we went. Due to all the rain, many areas were quite full and sometimes overflowing into one another. So, we did get a little wet. Posted by laurie l. goodman. Grand River Conservation Areas. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Dog Walkers Bewa...

Thursday, March 31, 2011. Spring Trip to Moondance Organic Gardens. You always get what you need in a day." Susan (new farm volunteer). Nothing says spring like the first visit of the season to Moondance Organic Gardens in Angus. We have been volunteering there for several years now and no matter how far we roam, we always find ourselves going back! I would say, first and foremost it's Kim, the owner, with her warm, nurturing spirit, who draws us in. Posted by laurie l. goodman. Tuesday, March 29, 2011.

Thursday, July 28, 2011. Summer is more fun with our friends! Some recent highlights have been swimming and fishing at Christie Lake. Also, right here at home. We especially love it when Tony played guitar and sang along to some U2 and Beatles songs! Kudos to Lesley and Sarah for their delicious desserts and thanx to Sharon for the wicked appetizers and ice cream; to Lisa and Will for the picture-perfect fruit-kabobs! Posted by laurie l. goodman. Friday, August 5, 2011. Gratitude for the Trees. Had an invigorating and adventurous walk with Maddy and Josh at the end of July. (Forgot to post pics until now) We headed out to Crawford Lake as it's one of our favourite Halton Region Conservation Areas, plus, Maddy hadn't been there before, so we wanted to share it with her. We give thanks to the trees. You give us shelter and fruits of many kinds. Your beauty is ever-changing. As we walked, we saw butterflies, bright blue berries, wild raspberries, wi...
