Gardening at Draco: Ice Weed
http://dracogardens.blogspot.com/2015/03/ice-weed.html
A Hill Country Garden. Monday, March 2, 2015. I was beginning to think it wasn't going to get cold enough for the ice weed to "bloom". It is a great addition to the garden. Even though it's real blooms are not all that much to look at, they do attract a lot of different butterflies and the winter "blooms" are great. There is no end to the different shapes and swirls that they produce. I inspect them every year and am dazzled and amazed by their formations. March 2, 2015 at 7:54 AM. How cool is that?

And the Owl Cam Reveals… Squirrels. March 24, 2015. For the past few years, we’ve enjoyed watching Eastern Screech Owls. But they are pretty darn cute. As much as we would prefer the owls, we can’t evict this little family of wiggling, curious critters. We can only hope that our owls have moved into our 2nd box in the far backyard (where there is no camera). They got drowsy right away, and Mama soon joined them for a nap. http://delightfulgardenaustin.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Delights, Dilemmas and Dirt. Sunday, June 15, 2014. Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day! The two hanging baskets of geraniums are clearly in too much shade- they're very leggy- but they're still blooming enthusiastically, even if the blooms look like satellites hovering around the mother plant. (And ugh, my gutter is dirty! In addition to the ever-blooming yard art along the fence, the Crape Myrtle we transplanted early this spring is blooming now, ahead of its cousins. The Rainbow Bed sure is blooming.
