I totally agreed with her that learning should be through hands on activities, not through sit down worksheets or flash cards. Chapters: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Intro: What Movement, Music, and Listening have in common. It is a must read! There are tons of activities and valuable information on why and how and what is important. Downside: Many of the activities presented in this book are for day-cares or other large groups settings. I was able to adapt many ideas to fit just us.

The task is simple: in twenty minutes, teams must build the tallest free-standing structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow.
