This is a picture of Grant at the clinic about to be poked. Can you tell? Wow, how far we have come. The picture above that is of Grant's team winning the championship game after Grant's walk-off triple the day after the clinic visit. This is one tough kid (that loves baseball). Grant's Big Adventure: Win 1 For Me...
http://grantsbigadventure.blogspot.com/2012/08/win-1-for-me.html
Sunday, August 26, 2012. Win 1 For Me. What an awesome celebration tonight at the Cats game. Grant was already so excited about the game. But this afternoon, the Cats called me and asked if Grant would throw out the first pitch. Of course he will! But, that was just the beginning. Grant got to go in the locker room before the game and came out with all kinds of signed gear. Then he got to be on the field before the game. He did an AWESOME job throwing the first pitch! We are excited to move on now. We wi...

Grant's Big Adventure: March 2012
http://grantsbigadventure.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 5, 2012. Grant went to the clinic today for a regular visit. His ANC was 2690! He was happy about that, especially since Spring Break is next week. He really wants to thank his class for the Get Well card. I just can't say enough how proud I am of him and how strong and brave he is. God is good and faithful and Grant trusts in that. Thank you for all your prayers! Thursday, March 1, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am one amazing kid! View my complete profile. Grant's Risk for Infection:.

Grant's Big Adventure: August 2013
http://grantsbigadventure.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Wow, I haven't posted an update in so long, I don't know where to start! As we began our school day yesterday, Grant was looking at the calendar. He immediately said, "It's been a year." It took me a second to realize what he was saying. Then he clarified for me, "It's been a year since I stopped taking my chemo." Yes it has! Can you believe we have lived and entire year of "normal" life? How does that happen? At that point, the doctors gave us 2 options. They said that he...

Grant's Big Adventure: December 2011
http://grantsbigadventure.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 6, 2011. We had the clinic to ourselves all morning. Watching Mickey on the iPad while recovering from the spinal. His counts were high (again) and he has grown quite a bit in the the last 1-2 months. So, the chemo went up and so did the steroids. Ouch! He is always pretty emotional and weepy on clinic days. Yesterday was no different. But, we will just have to be prepared for what the increase in steroids may cause. Gotta get ready for lots of hugs! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You can ...
