Water in the River: May 2011
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. The first good news is this: Jason has a new job. This week is his third week in said job. We took a little mini-holiday to Williamsburg to transition ourselves right before he started and that was lovely. This is just Leif enjying one of his favorite pasttimes.watching ants. I actually haven't gained any weight yet in this pregnancy, only have lost, so that is nice, too :). That would mean I'd already be IN it) but we're still looking. We did find one we like, but we haven't m...

Water in the River: Toddler Activities
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2014/02/toddler-activities.html
Friday, February 28, 2014. One of my Baby Prep tasks I wanted to accomplish was to set up a slew of toddler activities to keep the littles busy when I was busy nursing, etc. They had to be fresh to keep youngins interesting, so for a very long time i've been trolling Pinterest (💜! They also had to be easy-ish to assemble and clean up. I know me, and lots of hands on prep isn't going to happen at this juncture, so simplicity was key. The Rubberband Block makes me a little nervous with rubberbands snappin...

Water in the River: Radishii
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011/07/radishii.html
Tuesday, July 12, 2011. A freshly plucked Radish from the Garden. The first round of radishes are coming to an end (I just planted a second crop, but a bit late, so we'll run out of radishes, or radishii as I call them, before the new ones come in). I thought I might finally take a picture or two of them, since we've been enjoying them for over a month now. Down there. Ca-razy. It's funny how much easier gardening is here - things grow! Whereas they hated that southern humidity, they love the sun here (w...

Water in the River: February 2011
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Leif has fun playing his Tools Memory Game in his newly set up room. I did a lot of work bringing in some furniture and getting his room set up for homeschooling. So far, we're both loving it. I'll do a post on that later, though :). Jason and Leif watch the Superbowl. I liked the food, but pulled out a gardening book and then worked on a chart for Leif. Football, I spose, just ain't my thang. Leif plays with his matchbox cars during the Super Bowl. Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

Water in the River: Nana & Papa!
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011/06/nana-papa.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Nana, Papa and Leify had a grand old time at dinner. Yes, it may looks like he was being a bit manhandled, but he wasn't - and he was enjoying every second of it, screeching with laughter like a mini-hyena. The picture is all blurry (this is the best of 3) because they were all tickly squiggleworms and wouldn't stay still ;). Leif was so excited. He couldn't wait to show Papa his newly acquired skill - winking - which Papa had been teaching him since he was a little baby! Or, yo...

Water in the River: November 2010
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 25, 2010. Leif Leads an Expedition to Madagascar. Preparing the vessel for the voyage. Leif has been planning an expedition to Madagascar for quite some time now. He has planned who will accompany him on this grand journey, mapped out the route on the large world map on his bedroom wall, and planned every detail out to the nth degree. And fireman boots. Yes, fireman boots. Here is the outfit in its full glory:. Leif prepares the emergency gear for the long trip. To sum it all up, a few...

Water in the River: Visits and Picnics
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011/06/visits-and-picnics.html
Monday, June 27, 2011. Grandma Mil and Leify at the Church Picnic. Leif is holding (and pointing) to his balloon which flew out of the picture. This is my new favorite picture! These are busy days! What happend to the lazy hazy days of Summer? My poor Momma. And she hardly even whined. ;). We still had time to go to a little island to take a hike, so we did. Leif at part of the (under construction) monument on the island hike. His pose makes me laugh - what if we all posed like that for pictures? It is r...

Water in the River: July 2011
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Jason and Leif fly their newly made box kite. This past weekend was a lovely lazy summer weekend - the kind where you have nothing else to do but have fun as a family. So, that's exactly what we did. On Sunday, Jason and Leif worked (while I catnapped) on building a box kite, something they'd been wanting to do for a long time. I came in at the tail end (haha! And helped with the final steps. So the kite only went upupup a few times right before dinner. I'm currently making up a l...

Water in the River: Autumn
http://waterintheriver.blogspot.com/2011/11/autumn.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Before Halloween, Jason and Leif carve a pumpkin in front of the fireplace. Enjoying a cozy evening in our new little home, watching a good blaze and snuggling. :). Leif in his new schoolroom. Odd picture, I know, but Lawdy, he's getting old! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Gutenberg Project - Free eBooks!
