Help Me, Teacher. Where is the pink doll? It's in the dollhouse. Sunday, April 3, 2011. A while ago, my aunt Emily posted a link to an article entitled " Sleep is More Important Than Food. And may I say how much I love. Being able to type a few keywords and come up with an article I read weeks ago.) It's something everyone says, but I guess it had never been pointed out to me this starkly before. Since reading that article I've been trying, and mostly succeeding, to get at least something like. Of gettin...

Illegitimus Non Carborundum: Who Do You Think You Are?
http://hixson5.blogspot.com/2012/05/who-do-you-think-you-are.html
Thursday, May 10, 2012. Who Do You Think You Are? When Dad would get mad at us, invariably he would yell, "Who do you think you are? My usual reply was something witty like, "Uhh, Diane? This was never a satisfactory answer. I think he was looking for a more self-appraising assessment, but I wasn't the most introspective kid. I, for one, can't wait! Maybe we'll find a DNA match in the database- some long-lost cousin in Italy who would love to have us all out to his villa for a holiday. Or maybe not.

Ambrosia: September 2009
http://ambrosiaparadise.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. From the Dr. Oz Website: A Cowboy Goes Vegan. Saturday, September 5, 2009. I've made this recipe for years and years. It's from a Betty Crocker cookbook called "Southwest Cooking" from 1989. I've made it so often that the book binding broke right at that page so it just falls open to it. This is a great recipe that even kids love. We usually have it with cornbread, which I will attempt to make with soy milk tonight. 3/4 cup chopped onion. 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.

Ambrosia: Grilled Chicken & Pasta Salad
http://ambrosiaparadise.blogspot.com/2011/06/grilled-chicken-pasta-salad.html
Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Grilled Chicken and Pasta Salad. My friend Julie passed on this recipe to me, which she originally got from our local ABC channel here. I couldn't find it in the archive to link to it, so I'm reposting it here. Credit goes to Angie Larsen of KTVX here in Salt Lake City. Julie served this at a luncheon that Isabelle attended a few weeks ago, and she raved about it- with good reason! Grilled Chicken and Pasta Salad. 1 small pkg. spinach. 2-4 T sesame seeds. 1/2 c sunflower seeds.

Ambrosia: Mexican Salad
http://ambrosiaparadise.blogspot.com/2012/05/mexican-salad.html
Thursday, May 10, 2012. I'm ashamed that I haven't updated in so long. I hope you'll feel that this recipe was worth the wait! Mexican Salad was a standby in my house growing up. I have no idea where my mom got the recipe, but it's one of the few everyone in the family loves. With summer coming on, the last thing I want to do is turn my oven on. Having a go-to recipe that can be done in one pan on the stove is the perfect hot weather solution. 3/4 lb. lean hamburger. 1/2 c chopped onion. 2 T chili powder...

Sunday, May 31, 2009. The Real Reason We Have A Garden. This was taken back in 2003 when Tinkerbell was three years old. There are many days when I get sick of weeding and watering and wish we lived in a condo, but when I see this picture it makes me happy and ready to go play in the dirt again. Help Me, Teacher: 11/21/10 - 11/28/10

Help Me, Teacher. Where is the pink doll? It's in the dollhouse. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. I'm home again, for the month of November, and considering my options. I had almost decided to start graduate school. I'd even aspired to a voice Master's from UNC Greensboro. It's supposed to be a very competitive school, but I thought that the competition might motivate me to try harder. The slump passed quickly, but it was too late: I'd already let the doubt in. To sing, and I never. I once heard that the job ...
