Thursday, March 11, 2010. Our class will be doing an exciting project that you will be able to view after Easter break. It is called The Shoebox Theatre. Each child will be writing a story. (language arts, grammar, phonics) and illustrating it in their art classes with Sister Suzanne. They will put the story in a shoebox. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. We got through the Iowas! Thank you for all the snacks. We have extra drinks in my refrigerator which will come in handy when I want to do a little "boosting" party for the kids. that will make them smile. We are reading our first novel-Ramona Quimby. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Happy Day after Labor Day! I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I did! My children came home from college. It was awesome seeing them. I hated to see them leave. :(. This will be a short week for us here in 3rd grade. Spelling words and challenge words are in spellingcity.com , test will be Friday. In Math we will be working on rounding numbers and estimation. In science, we are slowly getting to what a plant needs. The test will be Monday, September 13, on chapter 1.

Friday, August 27, 2010. Another week has passed! What a great week it was. We are accomplishing everything daily, and the children are settling into a wonderful routine. We are reviewing sentences, punctuation, capital letters in sentences, hard and soft c and g sounds in phonics and grammar, expanded and standard form in math,. Signs, least to greatest numbering order. there will be a math test on this on Friday 9/4. I will do social studies the first semester and science the second semester.
