IDENTIFYING AND COPING WITH CHANGE. Essentially change is to make different; to alter; transmute. Change is supposed to be an accepted norm in this life. However, man the creature around whom so much changes, is still to a great extent afraid of change. Change has been occurring in our lives even before we were cognizant of the fact. Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our church and how we became what we are today. Our church was founded in the 1970s by the Missionary Church Association of Jamaica looking for a place for outreach in the Portmore area of St. Catherine. We later started the Portmore Missionary Preparatory School. With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We provide links to other sites that provide more detail on our church history or particular events in our past.
