Poems from the Coach: " Working The Count "
http://poemsfromthecoach.blogspot.com/2012/06/working-count.html
Working The Count ". Working The Count", can make you a better hitter. So listen up closely, and you won't be called a quitter! You've got to see. More pitches, so make 'em throw you a strike. He's gotta throw you three, so pick-out the one you like! You'll get deeper into the count, so just be patient and wait. As the number of pitches mount, they just might make a mistake! You'll need to shorten your stride, and don't swing from the heels. Maybe choke-up a finger, be ready to use your wheels!
Poems from the Coach: July 2011

Back in 1776, we won the "Revolutionary War". We celebrate "Independance Day" every year on July 4! We'll have bar-b-ques and parades, and we'll fly our flag high. Then later we'll watch a display, of fireworks in the sky! As our families gather, everyone learns some manners. Like standing still and being respectful,. When they play the "Star Spangled Banner"! We'll have hot dogs and hamburgers, and lots of other snackers. You might hear a pic-a-lo-pete, or even some fire-crackers! Poems from Coach A.
Poems from the Coach: May 2011
http://poemsfromthecoach.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
To honor our fallen heroes, we celebrate "Memorial Day"…. Ever since 1971, it's been on the last Monday in May! We're grateful to our veterans, and to those we've lost…. Protecting our freedom, they paid the ultimate cost! As symbols of respect, we place flowers and flags on their grave…. They laid their lives on the line, protecting the home of the brave! They went out to conquer evil, is my recollection…. They served and sacrificed, as we pause in reflection! The teachers I know, are generous and caring.
Poems from the Coach: R. A
http://poemsfromthecoach.blogspot.com/2012/04/r.html
This poem is about Rheumatoid Arthritis, or "R.A" if you please. It's an autoimmune disorder, a cronic progressive disease! Nobody really knows the cause, and there is no cure. But the pain can be crippling, we know that for sure! It effects your muscles and joints, there's inflammation and swelling. Sometimes you'll wanna cry, or sometimes feel like yelling! The worst is the dreaded "flare-up", which brings intense pain. Sometimes it will scare ya, and you'll need to use a cane! Poems from Coach A.
Poems from the Coach: July 2013
http://poemsfromthecoach.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
If you posess "gratitude", you have thankfulness. And with the right attitude, you'll show gratefulness! Saying "thankyou" is imperative, it makes a lasting impression. Coach can't tell ya what to do, but here's a few suggestions:. Send "thankyou" cards and e-mails, or even personal notes. Or just make a phone call, they all get my votes! You can also give of yourself, give the gift of "time". You show your appreciation, and it won't cost you a dime! It helps nurture relationships, and this alone is great.

Poems from the Boatyard
Poems from the Boatyard. Thursday, October 6, 2016. Letters from a Poet. Do you know Rainier Maria Rilke. A very lyrical German, Rilke was renowned for his delicate depiction of the workings of the human heart. 8212;a man after my own heart. This is one of my goals—this delicate depiction—especially in poetry, but as part of my life and ministry in spiritual formation for artists. Perhaps it’s why I resonate so much with Rilke, and use his poems in my work. Recently I received a “letter"- an email:.

Poems from the bottom of my anxious heart
Poems from the bottom of my anxious heart. Sunday, June 7, 2015. You can see right though that dress. A filmy peach like candle wax, but. Loose, but shiny, like a glazed donut. And everything behind the dress. As pale also with a gleam. I have had the dress a very long time. But have only worn it once. The occasion. Now forgotten because in that dress I am. Absorbed with me and with the dress. Distracted. By the feeling of being hidden but also. If I crossed my leg, you might have thought. So naked, so b...

Poems from the Coach
The day was January 1, and the year was 2002…. Kaitlyn's Law" became effective, telling us what to do! It's now against the law, to leave a child 6 and under…. Unattended in a car, you shouldn't have to wonder! The temperature rises quickly, and it might take a miracle…. To save a young life, if left in a motor vehicle! This is a safety matter, it's certainly not a joke…. Hyperthermia is dangerous, as deadly as a stroke! Kaitlyn's Law" is in memory, of little Katie Russell…. It's being thankful for what ...
