Bockish Poetry: 1월 2008
http://poetbock.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
2008년 1월 27일 일요일. Cage Bird by Maya Angelou. A free bird leaps. On the back of the wind. Till the current ends. And dips his wing. In the orange sun rays. And dares to claim the sky. But a bird that stalks. Down his narrow cage. Can seldom see through. His bars of rage. His wings are clipped and. His feet are tied. So he opens his throat to sing. The caged bird sings. With a fearful trill. But longed for still. And his tune is heard. On the distant hill. For the caged bird. And he names the sky his own.

2008년 2월 26일 화요일. The Want of Peace by Wendell Berry. All goes back to the earth,. And so I do not desire. Pride of excess or power,. But the contentments made. By men who have had little:. The fisherman’s silence. Receiving the river’s grace,. The gardener’s musing on rows. I lack the peace of simple things. I am never wholly in place. I find no peace or grace. We sell the world to buy fire,. Our way lighted by burning men,. And that has bent my mind. And made me think of darkness. The tone the poet use...

Bockish Poetry: WE TRIED by Thomas C. Saudners, Jr.

2008년 2월 14일 목요일. WE TRIED by Thomas C. Saudners, Jr. As boys we tried to live outside. But it might rain. Running naked in the moonlight was wrong. So was swimming naked in the pond. Why? There were always rules, unnecessary. Just let me feel the breeze against my face, and smell the river. Let me listen to nature's voice. Let's just walk, listen to the trees softly whisper,. Drink from the springs, feel the sun. Why, to die. 피드 구독하기: 댓글 (Atom). The Want of Peace by Wendell Berry.

You know I LOVE poetry, so add your favorite poems to your blog site and comment on fellow classmates' choices. Have FUN with POETRY! Wednesday, January 23, 2008. I always saw, I always said. If I were grown and free,. I'd have a gown of reddest red. As fine as you could see,. To wear out walking, sleek and slow,. Upon a Summer day,. And there'd be one to see me so. And flip the world away. And he would be a gallant one,. With stars behind his eyes,. And hair like metal in the sun,. I have the silly gown.

You know I LOVE poetry, so add your favorite poems to your blog site and comment on fellow classmates' choices. Have FUN with POETRY! Monday, February 4, 2008. In a dream I meet. My dead friend. He has,. I know, gone long and far,. And yet he is the same. For the dead are changeless. They grow no older. It is I who have changed,. Grown strange to what I was. Yet I, the changed one,. Ask: "How you been? He grins and looks at me. I been eating peaches. Off some mighty fine trees.". Stains on the mind.

Crow
This is the way the world ends / Not with a bang but a whimper." - T.S. Eliot, "The Hollow Men.". Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Humps to the eaves and. Is not as tall as it will be. Mask the white face from you. Look through the window,. Tilts back and away against. The body of the damp corn. A curve of lips in the silk. Or two pale mitts on the haft,. Or another white face. With a puddle of blue wool. Where the stalk meets the earth. Thursday, June 03, 2010. You would have despised november. It was so cold,.
