Emma's Poetry Blog

Sunday, 21 February 2010. About time for another I suppose! This poem is about. well. suicide, and I know it isn't the happiest of topics but really, writing about happy things is hard work! I hope that it makes you feel something. He streaked through the mist like a bat out of hell,. His journey and purpose he knew all too well,. And as the dawn broke he arrived at the fell. And the forest that lay to the west. He tore through the forest and whipped through the trees,. With an angel a-topping its crest.

http://poetrybloggeth.blogspot.com/2009/12/hello-again-im-back-garden-centre-was.html

Sunday, 20 December 2009. Hello again, I'm back! The Garden Centre was practically deserted, what with most sane people having bought their trees already, but we have ours now - thank goodness! As promised here is the first poem for my poetry blog, so enjoy. When I was Younger. When I was younger. I’d look at a tree. A sky-scraping tree – so much bigger than me,. But when I was young. It was never a tree,. But a brown oak ship on a cornfield sea. When I was younger. I’d look at a well. When I was younger.

http://poetrybloggeth.blogspot.com/2010/01/hello-again-everybody.html

Saturday, 9 January 2010. Hello again everybody. I'm sorry that it's been so long, but snow days made me entirely forget about the blogging that needs to be done! I hope that everyone enjoyed my last poem. In my mind it is about how people sometimes forget to appreciate the small things when they grow up, and that more of us should try to look at things in a childlike way, as sometimes children notice more about things than adults. 9 January 2010 at 08:27. Poetry Block | Breakthroughs Of Built Up Emotion…

Breakthroughs Of Built Up Emotion…. June 14, 2016. Lost and broken,. Out of control,. Spinning in circles with nowhere to go. Searching for acceptance, looking for love, grasping for straws, barely staying above. Water consumed me, drowning slowly…. Looking in a mirror and didn’t even know me. Getting through the days for my innocent eyes. Making it a point to shield them from my cries. Fighting for a love that only left me bruised, a daily war that couldn’t continue. Shattered in pieces, I lost my mind.
