I pointed my finger at the ball which was partially hidden behind the armchair. To my surprise my little daughter looked at my finger instead of the ball. No matter how much I shouted and jabbed my finger in the direction of the ball she just kept looking at my finger. Irealized then that my daughter was still too young to understand the meaning of pointing to something. I knew then that I myself have been looking at the finger and not the moon.
