The vineyard has been farmed organically since the 1950's, but was previously fallow since the time of phylloxera- -but first cultivated by monks over 1,000 years ago! The list goes on. 1983 GRUNHAUSER AUSLESE (sorry, not on our list! 2008 LES BRUGUERES/ /PRIORAT BLANCO. This is a cool wine, an anomaly in Priorat- -100% grenache blanc made from 100 year vines that were planted by religious missionaries. Very friendly and precious wine. Uncomplicated if you want, but layered and seriously interesting if you take the time to broach the subject. Brash enough to stand up to meat. Delightfully random for those who like orphans and weirdos. Amalie's story if my memory serves...
