Thursday, August 29, 2013. His question reminded me why I study my scriptures personally each day - to be a better mother. I am more calm, more patient and more understanding. It may be unexplained scientifically, but spiritually it is true. The natural tendencies to be controlling, yell, get upset or others are subdued by the Spirit that fills my life from reading. Thursday, November 1, 2012. Cole turned 4 in October. He loves green and he loves sprinkles, so I saw a cake on pinterest and kind of went from there. I threw the purple layer in for Lyla. It was prettier in my head but he still loved it. His smile at the end of this video is priceless. Cole and Lyla are such goofs and such good friends. Monday, August 6. Cora and Lena had a short play at the end of their 3rd grade school year. Their drama teacher opted to do 5 or 6 small skits to ensure lots of kids got parts. Thursday, June 7. Cora had an assignment in her class this year. She was to write a poem about a color. She, of course, chose pink. I thought this was so beautifully, creatively, intuitively written for a girl her age. Or maybe I just will always she her as my little girl. She is growing up so fast these days. Pink is the beautiful daughter of red. The star at the ball. Pink is the most feminine of them all. It's the dress that was made for you. It tastes like strawberry jam and raspberries.

Tuesday, September 11. You 4 kids ate like maniacs this summer! You could never get full and were often eating as much and sometimes more than dad and Cristian. You are the perpetual snacker. And picky these days. You are our voracious eater and want to eat all the time. Cora was retelling us something she watched on the tele. she was talking about a guy who used another guy to talk. we were all lost. she kept trying to explain what she saw. "i can't remember what it called." she kept repeating. I asked her to explain the idea again. it was when a person had a puppet and they made the puppet talk and tell jokes.
