Our first science experiment of the summer was Fizzy Colors! It was a such a success, my own kids have done it every afternoon since then! Fizzy Colors came from Toddler Approved: Fizzy Drips on Toddler Approved. One of my first years of teaching I was given a big bag of disposable pipettes that I knew would be perfect for this project. But the night before I could not find them! Some needed to see a few times how to refill they syringe, but away they went with no trouble at all! Promote Your Page Too.

Artist Study: Georges Seurat/ Seurat's Dots. Georges Seurat was born in Paris, France in 1859. He was quiet as a child and liked to keep to himself. He painted in a style called pointillism. Instead of mixing colors, he found if he put tiny dots of different colors next to each other the eye would mix the colors. From a distance, you can not see the small dots, but up close you can see that the entire painting is a lot of small dots next to each other! Our second Seurat inspired project:.

Magic Milk Science Experiment. This is a fun experiment with materials found around the house! Milk (I used 2%). Cover the bottom of the dish with milk. Put several drops of food coloring into the milk. Dip a Q-tip into the liquid dish soap. Have your child touch their colored milk in the middle of the dish. Science Experiment: Sink or Float? Random objects from around the house. A sheet of paper. Big bucket or bowl. 1 Bring all your materials outside or somewhere in your house where it is OK for things to get wet. 2 Fill up a big bucket or bowl with water. 3 Write or draw on the paper all the objects you plan to experiment with. Thursday, March 4, 2010. Valentine's Day and St. George. We went to St. George to the condo for President's weekend. We had a great time. The pool was a tad on the cool side, but the hot tub was a hit. We went to Las Vegas on Valentine's Day. We ate at the Rio's buffet. Elsie ate mashed potatoes with chop sticks and did a pretty good job. Then we drove the strip checking out the sites.
