Carrie’s Crafty Cottage * *. Disciple of Christ Wife Wannabe mommy Music teacher. Scripture I’m memorizing. A very musical day. April 30, 2007 in Teaching. Warning: You’re gonna need a tissue – or ten. So we decided this year we’d do the same. But we failed to anticipate that we would both (with any luck) have more students this year. Well, as GOOD luck would have it, we did. We each have about 30 students each. We both got to the church around 9:30am, which in all actuality, was much too late. So finall...

Nesting: 30 Days of Gratefulness
http://nestinginspokane.blogspot.com/2011/11/30-days-of-gratefulness_18.html
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalms 126:3. Friday, November 18, 2011. 30 Days of Gratefulness. Pretty ridiculous that I can't stick to posting a simple list a day for a month, isn't it? I have been recording my grateful lists in my journal, but somehow they haven't made it to my blog. Oh well. Se la vie. Today I am grateful for. A really memorable night out this week with all my favorite friends. Okay, this is turning into a complaint. Sorry. The Bible is engraved?

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalms 126:3. Friday, January 13, 2012. I am enjoying these days with my fair-haired boy so much. Our mornings have been extra sweet lately. While I'm working to get breakfast on the table, I am sweetly serenaded by. Singing over the baby monitor. Then the three of us sit down together for a quick morning visit before Daddy is. Off to work. Gage loves to wave him off with blown kisses! Things are so pleasant right now. And while I'm nerv...

The bit of magic you have when you listen. hard.). In little towns, we do a little bit of everything in community outpatient mental health. I am having to learn how to be a DMHP all over again. And it is exhausting. (read: the person who acts as an arm of the superior court to make decisions as to involuntarily detaining patients to psychiatric beds.). So now, while I am building up my child and family caseload at the New Clinic, I am being trained again in DMHP work, because I will be expected to take c...

The bit of magic you have when you listen. hard.). I think we were meant to stand on our feet, actually . I started yoga in 2007 after I separated from the former spouse. It was wildly nourishing and challenging and for 90 minutes I could concentrate on something other than some of the worst of human emotions. I was, and I say this lovingly, and to roughly borrow a phrase from Elizabeth Gilbert, a cliche of an almost divorced 30 year old taking divorced lady classes at the Y. That's the hope, anyway.

The bit of magic you have when you listen. hard.). Of airline food and cramped airline seats . It is the best. As we geared up for January, December, therefore, was a very quiet month. Subdued, toned down, pared back. Because . Europe. Quite honestly? December was also a grief filled month. Shoes and I have been trying to start our family for a long time now, and in early December, we thought we had it. You know? I am ok, by the way. That was just a hard one. So it was easy to look forward to leaving the...

The bit of magic you have when you listen. hard.). Shoes and I were having a discussion yesterday about marriage: what we were afraid of, what we like, what's hard. And I said, "I would say you're probably my best friend, for all intents and purposes.". And he said, "What! No way. We are not best friends.". What I know about Shoes is that sometimes a little exploring is necessary - he's incredibly bright. Not incredibly demonstrative or affective, but sharp. And this is what Shoes said,.
